Recycling
Looking for somewhere to recycle that water bottle or pop can? The Summit offers numerous recycle bins around base areas, in food and beverage outlets, and even in many lift lines!
The Summit at Snoqualmie – Named Best Workplace for Recycling four years running!
Recycling At Base Areas
Cardboard, paper, plastics, aluminum and glass are collected at all base areas and then transported to the recycling center on Snoqualmie Pass. The Summit helped instigate and continues to manage the King County Snoqualmie Pass Recycling Center located near the fire station.
Recycling At Vehicle Maintenance Shops
The oil from vehicles is collected and burned to help heat the maintenance shops. All anti-freeze from vehicles is recycled to a safe off-site location and parts are cleaned in safety-clean solvents.
Reuse of Fryer Grease
Vegetable oil is reused from our kitchen fryers to help fuel our shuttle buses. These shuttles run on a mix of about 33% fryer grease/66% petroleum based diesel which results in a seasonal savings of over 1000 gallons of diesel.
