Tool(s) of the Trade: Snowboard

Experience: 2009/2010 will be my 5th year teaching snowboarding at The Summit. I have a background in childhood development as a nanny, teacher, and as a mentor. Additionally, I have worked with many different developmental needs in these roles which has served me well at the mountain. I have my PSIA level 1 certification.

Background: What started out as a part time position at the mountain has become such a huge part of what I am all about. I realize that I am not only teaching my students how to snowboard, I am teaching them life skills, confidence, teamwork, and accountability. What they give me in return is much of the same. My goal is for snowboard lessons to be an unforgettable part of their childhood.
