Experience: 19 years of snowboarding experience; 25 years of skiing. 9 years teaching experience, AASI Level 1 certified. Instructor Trainer, proficient in Spanish, and I have attended numerous AASI clinics to keep my skills fresh.

Background: If I didn’t have snowboarding I don’t know how I’d get through the dark, cold winters of Washington. I specialize in Adult Learning. I get a kick out of teaching a woman to snowboard so she can keep up with her significant other. (Ladies, whatever you do, don’t let your boyfriend teach you how to snowboard!) It is so rewarding to teach the father who wants to impress his kid, only to have him come back for a private lesson with his child so they can really ride together. As a Spanish speaker I’ve even had the opportunity to help a traveler’s first time in the snow progress to first turns in an afternoon. All in all, I think you should never stop challenging yourself. Besides, it’s so much fun!
